A Pre-K to Grade 5 STEM Education

At Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Elementary School (Aerospace Elementary), our STEM-focused approach sparks our students’ curiosity, cultivates advanced problem-solving skills, and builds confidence to explore. Science comes alive in state-of-the-art classrooms within our brand-new facility. In addition to traditional core subjects, our students develop an extraordinary foundational knowledge in the four parts of STEM literacy—science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This equips them with the skills to conduct investigations, gather and use information, and tackle challenges using scientific methods and technology as valuable tools.

We are excited to announce the first edition of the AAEE Newspaper! The AAEE Newspaper Club began this fall. Students applied for a spot in the club. Mrs. Lewis and Ms. DuBois interviewed each student too.

Once the club formed, our reported had a special visit from News Decoders. Our guests Zoomed in from Dublin, Ireland and Paris, France. They helped our reporters learn about interviewing and reporting different types of news stories. We then took this knowledge and wrote our first edition in December.

Each classroom and reporter will receive a copy of the newspaper. Teachers will send home a PDF version so all families can see it. We hope you enjoy!
